About The JoyPlus Soft

The JoyPlus Soft is a small game studio based in Gwangmyeong, South Korea. Since 2016 we have been making puzzle and casual games that you can learn in a minute and happily come back to every day.

What we make

Most of our games are logic puzzles: picture puzzles like nonograms, grid puzzles like Shikaku, number puzzles, spot-the-difference and block puzzles. Alongside them we make light arcade and strategy games for quick breaks. Whatever the genre, we aim for the same thing - rules you understand at a glance, and enough depth to keep you thinking.

How we build puzzles

A good puzzle should never force you to guess. For our logic games we write a solver alongside the game and run every stage through it before release. In PetDoku, all 10,000 stages are checked so that each one can be solved by reasoning alone, and every Kaku puzzle is verified to have exactly one solution. Difficulty is set from what the solver measures, not by feel, so each level steps up smoothly.

We also play our own games a lot. Each title goes through repeated play testing on real phones, and we keep updating our games after launch based on what players tell us.

Where to play

Our games are available on the App Store, Google Play and Amazon, on Facebook Instant Games, and as mini apps inside Toss in Korea. Many of them can also be played right here in your browser - no install and no sign-up. See the full list on our games page.

The team

We are a small team of game planners, designers and programmers. Because the team is small, everyone works across the whole process: planning a puzzle rule, building the stage generator and solver, designing the screens and art, testing on devices and running the game after launch. Many of our games are in English, Korean and Japanese, and some support more than ten languages.
